Vinegar Pie

4 egg yolks
2 egg whites
1 c sugar

1/4 c flour
1/2 t nutmeg
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t allspice
1/2 t cloves
pinch of salt
1 c sour cream

3 T melted butter
3 T cider vinegar
1 c chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
1 c seedless raisins

unbaked 9 " pie shell

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Beat egg yolks. Beat egg whites till stiff. Fold in sugar and
mix with egg yolks. Sift flour with spices and salt and add
alternately with the sour cream to the egg mixture. Combine butter
and vinegar and mix with nuts and raisins. Add to flour mixture.
Pour mixture into pie shell and bake 10 minutes. Reduce heat to
400 degrees and bake 5 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and
bake till filling begins to set, about 15 minutes. Cool pie and
top with whipped cream.
