No Fool Cobbler

6 tbls. margarine or butter
1 cup self-rising flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
fresh fruit; peaches, blackberries, blueberries, etc.

Melt margarine in 9x13 baking dish.

combine flour, sugar and milk in bowl and mix well. Spread in
prepared pan. Spoon fruit onto the batter (approximetely 2 cups
of fruit). Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes until lightly
browned and center springs back when touched.

The batter rises from the bottom of the dish to the top to make a
nice crust. You might want to vary the amount of sugar depending
on the fruit you use.
