Buttermilk Pie
1 unbaked 9" pie shell 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 1/2 cup sugar 3 Tbs flour 3 eggs, well beaten 1 cup buttermilk 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/8 tsp salt Grated nutmeg
Preheat oven to 3500 F. Place the softened butter in a large mixer bowl. Add the sugar and cream(mix) well. Add flour, eggs, buttermilk, lemon juice, vanilla, and salt; mix. Pour into the pie shell. Sprinkle nutmeg lightly over the top. Bake for one hour or until the top is golden brown.
